What's going on at 96.6 TFM???
I've listened to it for about 4-5 years now, and it's always sounded good (better than 100 Century FM, anyway, and Metro, its sister station in Newcastle!)
Sadly it changes presenters more times than the British weather (but it's still a good station!)
So far mid-mornings have changed 5 times in the past few months:
Ditchy
John Caine
Simon Cook
Nicksy
and now...
Ollie Hayes
However, the line-up is always good, and the format allows for personality (more than can be said for some GCap stations, like Fox FM, and Power FM, which is good, but is losing it a bit nowadays!)
The late night shows are good, and the weekend line-up always sounds good.
It's nice to hear Stu Smith from Metro-Radio on there sometimes!!
I notice Tom Davies disappeared from breakfast, now Ian Skye's doing it (he was on Metro up here ages ago, and also does Viking FM and Rock FM too!)
If you want to listen online go to http://www.tfmradio.co.uk and have a listen - it's excellent!
TFM is a very good Big City station, lives up to the 'Big City' ethos (whether Middlesbrough is a city is debated!) - even though it broadcasts from Stockton-on-Tees! Radio City 96.7 is just as good too...
At least it hasn't got the 'best of the 80s, 90s and now' playlist and speed links that Aire/Viking/Metro (and also Hallam FM too) have to suffer.
It's better than the TLRC stations around my part of the UK!
Does anyone else here listen to TFM?? It's certainly great!!
