Both BBc Lancs and Gmr both sounded good today,gone are the lost dogs and it was entertaining...with a strong music lead and very few of those bits that the presenter talks about and has people to have their say....it was local info presenter ,music ,updates for news sport and travel....its how local non bbc was when it worked well in the 80's and 90's......

Still Radio meseyside was lost in the billy butler style of mersey music and bottom grade entertainers...who still live in the Scotty road era..



Its the first time in two years I have tuned in to the BBC local stations and enjoyed it !
But Lets hope they get rid of the has beens at merseyside and build it with new look bbc on air staff ..who said they have to come from Liverppool to be on air...


But then if livepool gets its all talk format station, liver fm may take the well known names over to the new station ...and that will have some openings at the bbc

Didn't one of the Ex Red Rose Presenters use to be on LiverFM?? Trying to think who it was now !
