Is local radio really that local?

My 'local' station Q103 is only semi-local, it being local from 6am-7pm.
Star 107 is more local, but it's voice-tracked after 6pm!

Really, how do you define local radio? unsure.gif

Now 96.4 BRMB are getting into the Mix Network, well semi-Mix Network anyway!
Late Night Love and Music Control are allegedly coming to BRMB, and the former Capital stations.

Wouldn't suit Power FM - Power is a very 'dance/vibe' station in my opinion.

Tuned in this morning to hear that brmb have changed the tagline slightly. It's now 'always a better song, always a better mix'. With the 'better mix' statement and the launch of networked programming in April, alledgedly, brmb is officially becoming another GWR-type station clone. Very sad.

What the hell are GCap thinking???

Power FM is local 24-7, apart from Hit 40 UK and Entertainment Weekly.
Pretty good station too!

I'm closing this thread as it's going off-topic really.... it's not really in line with the title.

Please feel free to start a new topic.... but don't go too far off-topic!
