Banbury's newest radio station 107.6 Touch FM launched today at 10AM from the Castle Quays Shopping Centre.
The station went live across much of Oxfordshire and beyond when popstars The ugababes "Pushed the Button" with a special message, as their chart-topping single was played out as the first song. Radio Developments
Weekday breakfast host Dale Collins kicked off the first show in style, as they handed out £1000 to a lucky listener. Earlier in the week, the station's promotional crew "The Touch Team" headed into town to hand out special crosses. Recipients of these crosses were instructed to attend the launch show and place their cross on a large grid. During the show, Dale randomly drew out a set of coordinates and the owner of the matching cross was deemed the winner.
Amongst the presenters to feature on the station are Kate Clark (Star Cheltenham), George Thomas (The Bear), Chris Nash (Rugby FM), Nathan Pestridge (Rugby FM) and Gary James. The new A List Chart, due to launch next week, will also be making up their weekend schedule.
