ARMED FORCES APPRECIATION DAY

The Patriot Guard Riders, Kansas Patriot Guard, and American Legion Riders are invited to Armed Forces Appreciation Day at Heartland Park in Topeka, 19 May 07.
This is the second year we are invited to Topeka's tribute to America’s patriots, past and present. We had a great turnout last year, with Riders coming in from as far away as Central Missouri, Nebraska, and Iowa. A good time was had by all!

Scheduled events include static displays by the Kansas Army and Air National Guard, music, fireworks, and a flag presentation by the assembled Riders of PGR, KPG, and ALR. We will be joined by the American Legion Department of Kansas annual convention attendees later in the afternoon.
We will have special motorcycle parking among the static displays. Bring your big flags. Bring bottled water and sunscreen.
ITINERARY:
1300-1400: Staging at Pat’s Pig Barbecue, 5900 SW Topeka Blvd. Give yourself plenty of time to enjoy the barbecue, and tip Lisa (our host) generously.
1400: Ride Briefing and Equipment Check. Unfurl big flags
1415: Depart from the Staging Area
1430: Arrive Heartland Park
Flag presentation will occur sometime after 1700.
Riders may ride in or depart from the event at any time.
