Well, here I am on a ship!
I find myself very excited at the porspect of all the new work that is ahead, nothing new to report on that score.

Brian seems to have settled in better than I have, finding a rug under the table he likes very much. I am sure he will be useful as a companion to me, the captain has already allowed him to have some leftovers, very kind!

The captain seems to be a most thoughful man, though the mission seems shrouded in mystery and no one is quite sure of our route.

Met the cook and a journalist, very pleasant.

Haven't visited the quarters properly yet,, I do hope they're comfortable and it would be most inconvenient if my bunkmates don't like dogs.

Haven't got the accordian out yet.....

Met my roommate, throughly amiable chap, likes a drink I daresay but also dogs so we may get along just nicely.

Mr George Cander is most intriguing, he broke my microscope, must find some way of fixing that, may have to talk to an engineer about borrowing some glasscutting equipment, unless the Captain knows a glassblower he can reccommend before we sail.

Got the stuff, very pleased with it.
