At the age of five I was travailing with my parents to my new home.
When pirates attacked our ship they killed everyone on board except me.

The captain soon became sick when I was fourteen and he didn’t trust the others in his crew, they had been poisoning his food.
He left me in charge even when he died then, the crew waited for two more years’ heaven knows why.
