i sat on my ship it bobbed gently yet a dangerous essence was adrift around the ship. these crew were rough and dreadfully dirty, i clutched my sword tightly and sat down on a barrel. the captain, a tall dark figure with a long and decorated but dirty and damaged coat, a beard and a huge ego was standing proudly over his ship's deck looking down on the work his crew did
"how much longer?" i thought to myself "how much longer will they travel before they turn on me?".

another ship swayed gently on the horizon i knew what would happen next
"HA HA BOYS LETS 'AVE SOME FUN!" the captain bellowed,
the crew getting more frantic and faster in thier movements, began preparing the sails and deck.
"hm! i'd better get ready myself!" i said to myself,
then stood up took a deep breath and sat down again, still clutching my sword but moving my hand up to the handle.

an hour past before our ship began to get close
"captain, i thought our agreement was to allow me passage to the next port without engaging in hostile actions!" i pelted at him
"im not paying you for this!"
"look we aint your standard luxury ship this is MY ship you're on, you see we attack ships, then we loot them and get alot more money than youre offering so shut up or I'll kill ya'!"
"watch your tounge!" i said and with the blink of an eye my sword was drawn and at his throat
"GET 'IM" he shouted

the other ship was in gun range but the crew was busy with me,
the crew moved in on me from all sides one attack after another but i had an advantage in speed and skill still there was too many of them. a pirate came behind me only to be met with a sharp cut to the shoulder and another with a slash to the arm then another and another and another until the deck was swarmed with the dead and injured,
"hm how will i get to my next destination now" i thought then i looked down the captain was injured with a slash to the arm i tied a dead pirate's head band round his arm but noticed my own i also had a slash
"damn looks like an early one i need to ge--" i staggered and struggled to stand, losing a lot of blood

the other ship was now level with ours and the sight of the dead, injured and the lone samurai staggering over the deck filled the view of the crew suddenly the samurai collapsed unconcious covered in blood

On the deck of the Kingston we had watched as the strange ship had moved closer towards us. Sleepy I had spotted the ship a few hours earlier from the crows nest and had called to us all.

We had all arrived up on the deck to watch this ship approach, concerned as to why it approached. I had manned one if the cannons, just in case. Everyone was slightly on edge.

As the ship came alongside us, we noticed that there didn't seem to be any crew onboard, at least we couldn't see them. What we did see was a lone man of Asian origin. He had just collapsed out of our view, he seemed injured. This worried us even more. I aimed the cannon at the ship and waited for the captains orders...

I watched from the edge of the ship, I watched as the man collapsed anxious as to what we should do next.
If there were injured I couldn't just stand back and watch could I? or this could be all part of some clverly layed plan on their part.

I sighed and listened, nothing but the sound of the sea crashing against the ship could be heard, we were silent and so were they.
I looked over to Boulder concerned, he seemed to share my worry.
It was all up to the captain now as to what choices he would make.

I stared at the ship. It worried me... but then all things in the unknown worried me. Something just didn't seem right onboard this vessel. What had happened over there?

"Alright," I shouted to my crew, "we're gonna board ths ship and take a look around. Attatch the grapplers!"

Ropes with laege hooks on the end were thrwon from our ship to theirs, attatching to their hull.

"Be ready for anything though people," I continued as I loaded my blunderbuss, "this could be some sort of trap."

Slowly, as Jemima manouvered the Kingston a little closer, we began to climb across the ropes onto the other ship...

"It's a blood bath!" I whispered with exasparation, I looked across the deck of the ship; human remains and insides covered the wooden floor.

As I shimmied across the rope I noticed a lone stranger, still clutching his sword, he looked dead and was covered in crimson. He was by the looks unconsious on the floor.

Some part out our crew gathered at the edge of the deserted ship, I spoked queitly, "the captain could be right, this could be an a trap for us, using the man as a decoy for us to enter. Draw weapons and slowly climb aboard, no sudden movements..."

I placed my right foot down onto the hard deck, the swift sea air blowing my beard and tugging on my clothes. I smelt the air, my nose filled with a rattling smell of death and combat. It was a felling I had felt many times, it was almost a like returning home.

Slowly I moved forward towards the lone man with my scimitar unsheathed and ready for combat.

I gulped and closed my eyes at what I saw, slowly I opened them again and bit my bottom lip, hard.
It was horrible, the sight of all those bodies just lying there.
Sure I could handle blood, I wouldn't have been a doctor if I couldn't but knowing that there was nothing I could do killed me inside.

"There may be survivers" I whispered as we slowly boarded the ship, "If there are do I have permission to assist?" I asked looking around.
I knelt down beside one of the bodies and felt their skin, "They've not been dead for long....the ones that are dead, the blood is still warm."

My little dwarven legs were finding it hard to get on board, I struggled to get over and then a young girl, Angel I think her name was, helped me up.

"Thank you," I said to her, I hadn't seen her before. Not many people like helping dwarves so I was very grateful.

When my feet touch the decks of the new ship I looked around to see the carnage. "Gahh! Who could have caused all this mess!" blood was dripping everywhere, and a foul stentch was already there.

Ignoring what Pete said I rushed by him and towards the man who was knocked out. I tapped his face twice and said, "How are you laddie?" he stired slightly and still gripped his samurai in his hand, I turned to the others, "I think he's alive!"

"your welcome" i replyed.
and folowed him to were pete standing by an man who was lieing unconsus.
"god what happend here? its horrible!"i said.
i hope the man is ok i though to myself.
and i hope it isn't a trap.

i regained conciousness for a short while. the sun was warm on the boat heating the deck up. i looked up without moving, the carnage before still lingered and figures were moving about the boat. i closed my eyes and clutched my sword but my arm couldn't quite hold it. suddenly there was a short tap on my head i opened my eyes to reveal a dwarf in front of me
"uhhhhh what buissness do you have with me?" i moaned and got up
i looked around more people were behind me
"great more! you're not looking for a fight are you? if not - good, i need to get out of here so dont mind me" i said shaking my head and clambered off the the row boats
"by the way, this boat, well you can have it the captain's down there" i said pointing to the captain who was sitting in a corner holding his arm.
i walked off but fell on to one knee clutching my arm then again stood up still stuggling and walked off only to be met with another fall

i saw the poor man trying to walk but he just couldn't.
I aproced him catching him as he fell and helping him back to his feet.
"its ok were here to help, we mean no harlm!" i said.
