I was sitting in my quarters thinking about the new crew members that had joined the ship. Two of them were here sharing quarters with me. Nicholas and Edward Lones.

We had met Edward in Hesthia, but I realsie dI knew nothing of Nicholas. So I decided to talk to him.

"Hello Nicholas," I said walking over to him, "How are you? I'm Max Decker, looks like we'll be living together for some time! Maybe it would be good to get to know each other better?"

"Yes it would be good to get to know everyone better," i agreed.

I quickly put the box that I carried under my bed so no one could see it. I had to make sure it was kept safe. I didn't really know anyone that well yet so was unsure if i could trust them or not. only time wud tell.

"how long have you served onboard?" i asked each of the people in the room

"I've been here since day one!" I said with a smile, "I was one of the first people to sign up for this voyage!"

I looked at Nicholas.

"Tell me," I said, "what is going on with you and Emmsi. I've noticed you with her... there seems a bit of tension between you. Is there anything I can do to help?"

I knew that Emmsi had had a boyfriend before she had come onboard the ship. I wondered if Nicholas was that boyfriend...

"There is no tension," I said abruptly, "things are fine between us!"

I just wished that people would keep out of my god damn business.

I was shocked by Nicholas's outburst.... he had seemed so friendly before. There msut have been something on his mind. It MUST HAVE had somethnig to do with emmsi.

Seemed boulder had struck a nerve!

"Hey i don't think boulder meant any offence," I say to him

"i'm sorry," i said to max, "i just am feelnig a bit rough today."
really it was the thought of emmsi that made me angry. i lvoed her so much yet she did not seem to feel the same about me anymore.

i got into bed and pulled a curtain around my bed so i couldnot be seen. then i opened my box and admired what was inside.
i smiled to myself.
everything i had gone through was worth it for this!
