Characters appearance:
Although in her early thirties Aurora has a striking appearance, long shoulder length gingery brown curls crown her head, pale skin adds to her features.
She has high cheek bones and deep brown eyes.
Standing at about 5.7” she was about the right size for a woman, not very skinny but in no way large, Aurora had a curvier figure.
She used to always wear black, it suited her well but since she met the Kingston crew she has been wearing brighter colours.
Character background: Aurora has been brought up in a civilised family who wished her to marry a wealthy man and stay home bearing children, but was always destined for more.
She had lived with adopted parents ever since she was young; she never knew her real family as she was abandoned as a baby.
Even then she only lived with her Mother and Father until the age of 12, one night her and her mother were cooking her father dinner for when he got home.
Her father who was usually a very well tempered man came home that night smelling of rum and somehow he looked different.
Her mother shooed her into the living room and shut the kitchen door, but she could still hear the shouts of her parents.
Suddenly it stopped and there was a thud, a door was slammed and everything was silent.
After a while of waiting she opened the kitchen door to find her mother was dead, she had been stabbed by her father.
She never saw her father again after that.
After the incident Aurora had to go live with her Grandmother who was herself a physician, she taught Aurora the tricks of the trade and all about botany, how to use herbs when medicine had run out.
This was her calling; from that day forward she knew she wanted to be a Doctor.
Sadly her Grandmother passed away when she was in her early 20’s.
She took over the surgery and had lived here at port town ever since.
She was married once, but it wasn't to be, she wasn'tenough for him.
She was left alone when he decided to leave her for a bimbo.
In that time she gave birth to a son, Jack Van Tassel.
Oh the cutest little boy you had ever seen, unfortunetly he died when he was very young from something none of the Doctors could diognose, even Aurora herself couldn't help him.
He died at the early age of 2 and Aurora was devistated knowing she would probably never have anymore children, but that didn't stop her, she carried on with her career as normal.
