It had been a number of months since we lost our captain to the pirates of the Valtriani. We had put up a brave fight but the pirates were just too strong for us. After captain Blank had been taken and our first mate had been lost overboard, I had taken charge and we had no choice but to turn and flee.
We headed back out of uncharted waters to return to Port Town. We greived the loss of Captain Blank. He was a friend to us all.
We arrived at Port Town three days ago and now we are just beginning to pack up our belongings. This was Darren Blanks ship. It would be given to his family - if he actually had any. I took it upon myself to find out if he did.
Today, as I stepepd down from 'The Old Sailor' I saw that 'The Kingston' had arrived at the port. It must have come in during the night. I was surprised about this. I had hear that Captain Warner was obssessed with something in uncharted waters. I wondered what they were donig back here so soon. Maybe they too had encountered trouble.

"I'm going to go onboard 'the Kingston',' I said to Gerald Heathcliff, one of the deckhands, "find out what they are doing back.'

Julian O'Brien, our chief engineer, decided to join me as he had been longing to see Pirate Petes engines. So together we walked away from our ship and climbed onboard 'The Kingston'.

I boarded the Old Sailor and nodded to a large deckhand who didn't even seem to care that I was onboard.
Compared to the Kingston, the Old Sailor looked a mess.
I took a quick look around the ship. It was quite plain and bland. I lit another cigar and sat back waiting for Susan Tailor to arrive...

I appeared out of thin air on the main deck of a ship at the port on Port Town. I looked just to my left. I was lucky. If I had appeared any further left then I would have fallen straight into the sea.

I took a deep breath of air. It was fresh sea air and was slightly salty. The smell of fresh air! It was lovely! It had such a long time since I last felt air in my lungs as I had spent so long is Hesthia.

I stretched out my arms and let out a happy sigh. I stepped forward a pace and suddenly spotted a man standing on the deck. I moved back and hid behind the control room wall.
If this man was a member of this crew then he might wonder why I wa sonboard the ship. I had to find a way to get off the vessel without being noticed. So for now I would wait as see if the man moved away...

I step up onto the deck of my ship and walk over to sergeant Gricks.

"You know you really shouldn't smoke that on a ship," I said to him, pointing to his cigar, "with this thing made out of wood... the whole vessel could easily go up in flames!"

He put the cigar out and looked at me. There was something about this man that irritated me.

"Lets get on with it shall we," I said, "over here!"

We wlaked over to a storage room just near the conrtol room. For a second I thought I could sence someone watching us. I shrugged it off. I opened the door and it revealed several boxes and crates.

"This is where we store dall of our personnal things," I said, "there was a lock. Someone broke it."

"What's missing?" Sergeant Gricks asked.

"Well... Gerald Hethcliff is a very religious man," I said, "and all of his corsses and holy water bottles and stuff is missing. I also had a golden cross on a chain that has been taken... and Captain Blank had a religious picture that he brought with him. that too has gone."

I paused and looked at Gricks before speaking again.

"there was also a statue.." I said slowly, "it has gone too. But this was no ordinary statue. Captain Blank believed it to have been created by the gods themselves and thought it held mystical powers. Can you help us?"

Religeous artifacts. I stepped back and held my chin in thought. I knew instantly who had taken these items.

"The Cult of Korg must have stolen these things," I said, "they have been stealing and destroying anything religeous that does not relate to Korg. Why, the old priest had his church burnt down a few weeks ago."

Susan Tailor was shakin her hands at me protesting. I asked her what the problem was.

"No one has been onboard our ship," she said.

Curious.

"Then that means only one thing," I said, "one of your crewmembrs must be a Cult member!"

An explosion boomed across the water. I looked out and saw a small boat go up in flames. It distracted the two people on the ship long enough for me to sneak by.

However, just as I thought I was going to be able to ge toff the ship, the man turned back around. I waas forced to jump quickly overboard. I landed in the cold water with a SPLASH!

I saw a man jump from the ship. He jumped into the water at the port. I ran over to the side of the ship. I looked down into the cold sea. I could not see him anywhere.

Susan tailor joined me. She spotted him. He was climbing onto the Kingston with their help.

"Do you recognise this man?" I asked Susan. She said that she did not. I took a drag of my cigar. "Maybe he was the one that stole your things," I continued, "perhaps he is the one you should be questioning.

I was abut to suggest that I go with her to question him, when Officer Thomas rushed onto the ship.

"Attacked... at the station!" he panted, "drunk man that you arrested! They got away!"

I was angry. Someone had escaped from my station. Then another worry spread through my mind.

"I have to go," I said to Susan, "I will be back to help you later."

I rushed from the ship, Officer Thomas following me.

Rushing up to the Old Sailor, Susan began to bark orders to the men. They all took up their cannons and began to help out with the battle.

I rushed to the crows nest joined out watchman, Noah Rolly, looking out at the Death Fleet.

To say that I was worried was an understatement. I was petryfied. The Death Fleet were known for their ruthlessness and how they could not be stopped. Ever.
Thousands had sunk to their weapons. I didn't want out ship to be one of them.

"Maybe we should leave," I said to myself. then I shouted my thougths down to the others on deck. "MAYBE WE SHOULD LEAVE!" I shouted, "GET OUT OF HERE WHILST WE'RE STILL IN ONE PIECE!"

I felt like a coward but I was so scared. I wondered what my hero, Pirate Pete, would do in this situation. He would stand and fight. But then if that was the case.... where was he now?

If he did not have the courage to fight... then how could I?

"Come on we're getting away from here!" I shouted as I climbed onto their deck, "the Death Fleet is too strong for us We're heading to the market square to set up a fighting chance!"

BUt as I looked around I saw that the anchor had been raised and people had manned the oars.

Were they about to leave?

"What the hell are you doing?" I asked with a gasp, "do NOT tell me you are about to run?"

"Run?" I said. I was shocked and a little confused. I had manned one of the cannons and had no idea that the anchor had been raised.

"Who raised the anchor?" I shouted, "get it lowered right now!" I was very angry. The last thing I wanted was for the 'Old Sailor' to get the reputation as cowards!

I looked up to the crows nest and saw Julian O'Brien and Noah Rolly looking down at my sheepishly.
"Is this what Captain Blank would have done?" I asked with a stern voice, "he would never have run and abandoned people! I am ashamed with the lot of you!"

I then turned back to Phoenix.

"Everyone is heading to the Market Square for the fight?" I asked, "then have no fear...we shall join you!"
