Here beigns PART SIX: the Apocalypse
You wake with a start and find yourself back in your room at the tavern in Port Town. How did you get here? The last thing you remember is being on the Kingston in uncharted waters... something very strange is going on...

I groaned. How could I be back here? Had I been dreaming?

I hated this place. Port Town always had been a mess. Crime and drunkeness on a daily basis. I had been so glad to get away from here. So what was I doing back?

I stood up and got changed into a fresh clothes that had been laid out for me. But by who?

I walked to the window and opened the curtains. I had a view of the market place. I saw people pottering about getting on with their lvies.

Then there was a knock at the door. I opened it carefully...

"Hello miss Thorn," I said as I passed her a washing basket. "Any washing for us to do for you today?"

Olivia Thorn was a pleasent woman. She always had been. She was not afraid of much and enjoyed drinking pints which I found most unusual. She wasn't the most feminine of people and she'd be the first to admit it. She was a tomboy.

I suppose being an engineer working on a ship full of men you'd have to be a bit of a tomboy.
She alwasy impressed me though how she could do such a mans job. In fact the last time she had stayed here we had got to know each other quite well.

However right now she stared at me as if I was a complete stranger.

"Are you alright miss Thorn?" I asked...

"Yes... I'm fine thank you Sophie..." but even as I spoke I knew tbhat I could not lie, "No actually... I am not fine. I am not fine at all!"

I sat down on my bed and Sophie joined me.

"Something has happened to me," I said, "I don't know how I got here. Have you seen any of my friends from the Kingston?"

I was worried about Olivia. From what I knew of her it wasn't like her to panic so much. She was a strong woman.

"Adrain Warner is in one of the rooms," I said, "as is Collin Wilkins and Sergeant Shepperd. you all arrived here together. Do you not remember?"

I wondered if I should contact a doctor. I wondered where Dr B could be and if he could help.

I stood up quickly, a determination on my face.

"The Captains here too?" I said, "And Phoenix and Boulder!"

This was great news! Perhaps finally I could get the answers I needed! I pulled on my jacket and put on my shoes.
I then opened the door and turned left the room. Sophie followed me.
