Here begins PART SIX - The Apocalypse
You quickly wake. It is freezing and you are lying on a cold stone ground with no blankets. You rub your eyes and try to wipe away the drowziness. You look about the bare room. You think you recognise it... you DO recognise it! This used to be your families house in Port Town. You haven't been here in years, not since your family took off to chart the sea.
But how did you get here? the last thing you recall is being on the Kingston hundreds of miles away. Slowly you get to your feet... you have to figure out what it going on here...

This is my old house! I cannot beleive it! I haven't been in this house in years!
Memories of the happy time I spent in here came flooding back to me. But then the bad memories arrived too. The reason our family left here in the first place...
I tried to shrug them off. How did I get here? That was the main question on my mind.
I left my room and entered the living space. It soon became clear to me that although this was once my house, it was not anymore. Someone else now seemed to be living here...

I entered the lounge and dropped the pile of papers that were in my hands. My mouth wa sopen wide. I was gobsmacked. I had to rub my eyes to make sure I wasn't seeing thing.
I wasn't. He was really standing here in my lounge.
"Max?" I said. He turned around. "Max Decker? Is that really you?"
I walked over to him and looked at his face closer. It REALLY was Max Decker!
"How did you get back to Port Town?" I asked.
It had been many months now since I had arrived back here after leaving the Kingston on the small white boat at Salt Station. As I had promised the crew I had cleared their name with the authorities. It had been hard work but eventually they had seen reason.
I had decided to return to France but had received a pay rise in my job as a local journalist so had decided to stay. I had bought this house and had been livng here for the past few months.
I had never stopped thinking about Pete.
Now Max decker stood in my lounge! How strange! He looked as shoicked to see me as I did him. I waited for his answer...

"Helen Corr?" I said in wonder, "the journalist?" this was amazing. I never really knew her that well. I had only known her for a couple of days when we met at Salt Station before she had returned home.
"I have no idea how I got back here," I admitted, "Will you help me? I have lost my memory! This used to be my families house! Isn't it strange that you now live here!"

"It is strange that I now live in your old house, such a coincidence anyway. But then again, there aren't many free houses in this town," I said as I poured two cups of tea and then passed one over to Max. He looked like he needed it. "Won't you sit down?"
We moved over to the sofa and sat down. I offered Max a biscuit and he took it happily. He seemed very hungry. I was concerned by his lack of memory.
"As far as I know the Kingston returned to the port two days ago," I said, "I was meant to go and visit but I have been very busy of late. With the growing concern of this Cult in the town I have been doing the front page news in the newspaper every single day!"
I took a sip of my tea and dunked a biscuit into it. Blast! Some of the biscuit broke off into my tea!
"If you want, after we've finished our tea we can go to the Kingston adn try to find the rest of the crew," I suggested...

"That sounds like a good idea," I replied, "I really need to know whats going on."
I liked Helen. She had looked after me when we first met on salt Station. In fact it was her that found me.
I sipped my tea. It was hot.
I was very interested as to what had been happening in Port Town.
"Tell me more aobut this Cult," I asked, "they don't sound too good..."

"The Cult worship the evil pirate.... and the most dangerous man ever to live... Captain Korg," I said to Max shaking my head, "they think he is their saviour. They believe that he will bring the apocalypse on the world and only those he deems worthy will survive and serve him in what is left of the world. The Cult of Korg think that by worshipping him they are worthy to live!"
I finished my tea and so did Max. I took the cups and washed them in the sink.
"they are deluded," I continued, "everyone knows that Korg is dead. They worship someone that is dead and will never return! But the Cult ar ecausing many problems. They authorities ar eunable to catch them... we at the newspaper uncover little facts about them but not enough to bring them down."
I put on my jacket.
"Come on Max," I said, "enough talk of Korg and the Cult... lets get you to the Kingston and reunite you with your crew!"

Talking about this Cult and the fact that they worshipped Korg, began to stirr memories in my mind. Why did the mention of that evil pirate ring a bell in my head?
I agreed with Helen that it was time to go. So I pulled my boots on and we left the house to head towards the port and find the Kingston...
