Here begins PART SIX - The Apocalypse
You wake with a start. You find yourself in a room that you haven't been in in months. It was your old bedroom in your parents house in Port Town... but how was this possible? The last thing you remember is being on the Kingston near Devil Island which was miles away from here. How did you get back here and so quickly?
You look across and see your brothers empty bed next to yours. You are terribly confused. You hear a noise downstairs and realise that it must be your parents...

Seeing my old house brought floods of memories back to me. Seeing tylers empty bed brought tears to my eyes. If this was really happening, if I was was really back here at my family home in Port Town, then I would have to explain to my parents that yler was dead.

They would be struck with grief. How am I meant to tell them that their son is dead?

I heard them pottering about donwstairs. Did they even know that I was here?
I got out from my bed, took off my nighty and pulled on some of my old clothes from the wardrobe. I then slowly left hte room and headed down the stairs.

When I got to the bottom I saw my parents. I could not help myself. I began to cry great floods of tears.

Fodo, or the oldest of our dogs, began to bark and was waggling his tail like never before.
I found this most odd. He never got this excited. I looked to Katherine, my wife. I smiled. She was still the most beautiful woman I had ever laid my eyes on.

I remembered back when had first met. All of the boys in Port Town tried to date her. Why she chose me I still had no idea.

I turne dto the stiarcase which is what Fodo was yapping at and saw Tess standing there crying. I walekd over to my daughter and put my arms around her.

"What be up love?" I said in my broad accent, "you not get the sleep ya wanted?"

I looked to Katherine.

"Fetch her some warm milk will ya darlin'" I said.

"It must have been another nightmare," I said and my slender long legs walked foward and I gently poured warm milk from the fire stove.

I passed the milk to Tess and she carefully took it off me. I sat down beside her and Frank, Fodo still yapped like mad.

I put my arm across Tess and my hand touched Franks shoulder, I caressed his shoulder and spoke to Tess

"Whats the matter Tess, is there something you want to tell us"

sitting on the bottom step of our staircase I held onto my parents and slwoly drank my mothers hot milk. I knew i was home by the taste of that milk! My mother had a special way of making hot milk.

Looking at my parents I saw that they were both still very happy together. How could I break this news to them?

"I don't remember how I got here," I said to them, "but I shall beleive that you have been looknig after me as always. But ther is something I have to tell you... the reason why Tyler has not returned with me also... Mum... Dad... Tyler... he... he died!"

I broke down crying. Large tears of sorrow rolled down my cheeks...

I looked at Tess somewhat shocked. I then looked to Katherine who was as puzzled as I was.

I stroked Katherines cheek and then rubbed my daughters back.

"Tess my dear," I said, "you are mistaken. Tyler is very much alive. He has been living back home for a couple of months now!"

I could see the look of disbelief on Tess' face. Her crying stopped and she looked a Katherine and I gobsmacked....

My jaw dropped. I could not beleive what I had just heard. I looked at my parents as if they were crazy.

"What are you talking about?" I asked, "How can Tyler be alive? I saw him die! I saw him get shot... he burried his coffin at sea!"

My parents were shaking their heads. It was impossible wasn't it? There was no way that he could be alive was there?
No... he was definatly dead. I had seen his ghost. His ghost had helped us on Salt Station.
My parents must have got it wrong.

"Tyler IS dead!" I said, "you are mistaken! If he is still alive then where is he?"

"He is alive!" I said with a smile, "You must have been mistaken when you saw him get shot!"

I let out a little giggle and rubbed Katherins leg.

"Tyler said that Tess would think he was dead, didn't he dear?" I said to my wife. I looked back at Tess. "He's just gone down to the Market Place to fecth some food. Your mothers making us a sunday roast to celebrate your return!"

"Tess my darling, don't worry the nightmares will soon stop." I dipped my finger into a stew pot in the kitchen and looked at Frank whilst sunking the end of my nail.

"Soup?" I asked and looked towards Frank and Tess. I looked at Frank and started to imagine him making love.

My parents were at it again. They had such a loving relationship - but not quite what I wanted to think about!
At the moment tho all I could think about was Tyler. I still did not see how it was possible for him to be alive. But if my parents said it was so then it must be true. But I watched him die... didn't I?

"You say he is in the market place?" I asked my parents. They nodded. "Then the soup will have to wait mother. I must go and find him... I need to see him with my own eyes! Onyl then will I believe that he is alive!"

I grabbed my jacket and put it on. I then pulled on my boots and headed for the door.

"I will be back soon," I said to my parents before leaviing the house.
