I laughed.

"Pirate Pete," I said, "Do you not see... the crew of Kingston has already been defeated! Look at me for one... I am a vampire! ANd soon you will either join me or die!"

I unfolded my wings and jumped up, soaring towards Pete.

"But if you want to die before the captain... so be it!" I screamed.

I plunged down at Pete, smashing into him with my feet and kncoknig him to the floor. I grabbed him be the throat and liften him off the ground before punching him, blow after blow after blow. His face was battered and bruised but he managed to reach for his swrod and hit my with the butt of the handle.

My grip was released on him and I staggered back. But I advnaced again, fangs at the ready to plunge into his neck...

I had heard all that the Queen had said. Was it true that my coming here is what would cause the destruction of the world? Impossible... how could that be?

George Cander attacked Pete but I had no time to worry about that for now. The Queen was my only concern.

I raised my blunderbuss that had been transformed into a stake and charged at the woman, ready to plunge it into her heart...

Captain Warner was running towards the Queen in an attempt ti kill her. I knew that he would fail but that was not my concern right now. It did not matter to me if he lived or died... the only thing that mattered was stopping the Queen.

I used the oportunity whilst she was distracted and rushed forward for the Relfecto-zan. It had to be destroyed. Only then was there a chance of killing Car'liria!

I moved quickly towards the Relfecto-zan. My hands were almost upon it...

I clicked my fingers and the stake in Captain Warners blunderbuss set alight! The fire quickly burnt through the stake and then began to creep up the blunderbuss until it reach Adrians hands. He dropped the weapon but the flam jumped across to his sleeve... it was like a living thing moving up his arm.

I then turned and out of the corner of my eye I saw Bruce Freedom reaching for the Reflecto-Zan. I closed my eyes and whispered.

Suddenly the Reflecto-Zan fired a single beem at Bruce knocking him off his feet.

"Haven't you learnt your lesson yet Freedom?" I laughed, "You cannot kill me! You have tried for years! Ever since Idisabled your weapon you have been useless!"

I reached forward and grabbed Bruce by the throat. I then walked over to the window and threw him out... he fell towards the ground...

The flame from the Queen crept up my arm and onto my chest. It was burning my skin and wa sone of the most painful sensations I had even felt!

I screamed out and looked around for help but Bruce had been thrown from the window and Pete was stuggling with Cander.

I grabbed my shirt and ripped it from my body. I hated doing this as it was bought for my by my daughter for one of my birthdays. As soon as I threw my shirt onto the ground it went up in flames. A second longer and I would have been a dead man!

I looked at the Queen who was still looking out of the window. I noticed earlier that Bruce Freedom had tried to destroy the glass ball in the cntre of the room. It must mean something to the Queen.

I grabbed my blunderbuss from the ground, raised it and aimed it at the glass ball. I fired.

The ball shattard into a thousand pieces and my shot hit it. the Queen let out a cry...

Still in mid-grapple with Cander, we both fell to the floor as the ball smashed into pieces. I almost dropped my sword at the sound of the Queens cry then I looked over to the Captain who stood there with his blunderbuss raised and still ready, I realised now that Adrian had changed. There was something different about him.

I stood from the ground and looked around, George was still on the floor and I looked over towards the Queen. Did destroying this ball kill her? or just make her mortal?

Pain rushed through my body. The Reflecto-Zan... gone! I screamed!

The Reflecto-Zan was the source of all my magical powers. It was what made me more then just a vampire, but a witch also! How could this be that it was destroyed!

But there was hope for me yet. There was another Reflecto-Zan... somewhere in uncharted waters. It is said that the second Reflecto-Zan was even more powerful then this one! I now knew what had to be done. I HAD to get that second Reflecto-Zan no matter what!

However, in my weakened state I could do nothnig. Captain Warner had already attached another stake to his blunderbuss and had raised it above me, ready to kill me...

I flew quickly back to the castle. I had the Axe of Lunea! I went straight through thw window into the Queens Throne Room and saw that she was about to be killed by Captain Warner.

"My Queen!" I shouted and threw her the Axe! She caught it and a mad gleam shone in her eyes. I landed at the back of the room and was joined by Cander. We waited to see what would happen next...

I halted in my attack. The queen had an Axe... The Axe!!!!

Everything I had been sent here to do, to stop the Queen, to stop the Axe from getting into her hands... it had failed! She now had the Axe!

I looked to Pete.

"Old friend," I said slwoly but with confidence in my voice, "I must ask of you now more then I have ever asked of you before. The Axe of Lunea must not be used by the queen against the world or destruction will reign. This is more important then me or you, more important then the Kingston. Our lives are of no concern. We must stop the Queen... even if it means sacrificing ourselves!"

I took a deep breath as I stared at my friend.

"Are you with me?" I asked.

The Axe! Boulder had given me the Axe! It was a glorious moment and I felt confidence rush through my body once again!

Adrian Warner had stopped and was talking to Pirate Pete. this was my chance to leave without them noticing and begin my work with the Axe!

I turned to Boulder and Cander and gave them a signal. The signal was to destroy Warner and Peterson.

I then spread my wings and took flight out of the window. I headed towards the Kingston to find my sister. Hopefully she would join me in my quest to take over the entire world!
