I had rushed through the forest with Olivia Thorn and Emmsi under both arms. When i had reached the castle I scaled the wall and climbed in through the window of Wolf Tower.

The Tower was currently empty. All of the other wolves were out around the island.

The two women under my amrs where keeping quiet. I knew that Emmsi was unconscious but I was unsure about Olivia. I dumped Olivia and Emmsi down on the hard stone ground and sat by the window staring out at the nights full moon.

I looke at the wound on my chest where the 'human' Phoenix had been cut by one of the bushes thornes. It ached. I hoped it was not going to cause me problems.

I sat back and waited...

My eyes were adjusting to the darkness of this horrible tower. I could see Emmsi lying on the ground next to me. Slowly, making sure that the Phoenic Werewolf didn't see me, I crawled over to her and shook her.

"Emmsi, Emmsi, wake up!" I whispered, "please wake up!"

I looked around the room. It was clear that a lot of creatures lived in here - and by the hair on the ground and the smell of wet dog in the air, it had to be werewolves!

I knew that Emmsi and I had to get out of the horrible place before all the wolves returned.

"Emmsi, please wake up!" I whispered again...

I could hear some noise in the distance, but I was not sure what it was, I think it was someone talking to me but I wasn't sure. My head was pounding, I think it was from when Pheonix the Werewolf knocked me to the ground.

I started to moan and come to a bit, but I could hear a voice telling me to be quiet.

Without opening my eyes I whispered "Where are we? What's going on?"

"We're in a tower, I think inside the castle," I whispered, "don't try and move yet... you've been injured... I think... you may have been bit!"

I looked to the Phoenix wolf. He was still at the window yet if we tried to move he would surely spot us.

"We're going to have to lie here and wait for our chance to escape," I said

As I looked out at the moon I saw the flock of vampires flying over the land, searching for the crew of the Kingston.

I grinned and showed off my long pointed yellow teeth. This island truly was glorious! I could spend the rest of my days here with no troubles at all!

Then my thoughts turned to the woman I had seen sleeping in the Kingstons medical bay. There was something about that woman... something that seemed so familiar...

Suddenly a cloud began to pass over the moon. I roared out as my bones bagan to crack and the hair on my body bagan to fall out and scatter on the ground.
I put my sharp claws up to my faces, but even as I did the claws were shrinking.

Slowly I removed my hands from my face...

...and I saw the world in colur once again. It was me! I was back!

I jumped to my feet and looked at my hands and my arms. They were normal again! I looked down the at the floor and surrounding my feet was a mass of hair!

I couldn't beleive it! I was a werewolf! All this time I had been trying to find out who the wolf was on the Kingston but it had been me all along! I was terribly confused. I had no idea how I became a werewolf. I looked at the bite mark on my side. I could not recall ever being bitten by a wolf... how had this happened to me?

Then I saw the two bodies on the floor at the far side of the room. It was Olivia and Emmsi. They weren't moving. Emmsi had blood on her. I gasped. I hoped to god that I had not killed them.

Then Isaw one of them move and I sighed with releif.

"Emmsi, Olivia," I said, "its me Phoenix! Whats going on? Where are we? Wheres the rest of the crew?"

Then I realised that I was compltetly naked. I picked up a rag from the floor and held it over my 'rude' parts embarrassed...

"Phoenix!" I shouted and jumped up. I rushed over to him and embraced him. "Are you alright? You're the werewolf!"

I could se that he already knew this. For a second I wondered if it was just the beast in him that was evil, or if even when he was a man he was evil. However I could tell by his eyes that he was the old Phoenix, our friend.

"We have to get out of here!" i said, "before the moon comes out again! But Emmsi is injured! Will you help me move her?"

As Phoenix moved towards us I tried to move backwards as best I could with my injuries. I was scared of Pheonix, after all, he had attacked me, and here he was now trying to help us. Who knew when he would next turn into a werewolf and attack us again...

I saw Emmsi backing away from me. She was scared of me!

"Please Emmsi," I said, "you don't have to be afraid of me! I'm not going to harm you!"

BUt even as I spoke I saw the moon beginning to come out from behind the clouds. A pain shot through my body.

"You two have to get out of here now!" I said through gritted teeth, "go! Get back to the Kingston! Tell the captain and the others that... that they should kill me! They should kill me before i do anyone any harm! I don't want to be like this forever!"

The moon was almost completely on show.

"GO NOW!"

I could see that Phoenix could change any second. He was right - we had to get out of here now!

I helped Emmsi to her feet but she was in a lot of pain.

"Phoenix," I said, "we won't leave you here! We'll get you help! There has to be a cure for you! And we will find it! I promise!"

Phoenix hid his face from us and we could already see hair sprouting from his body, and hear his bones cracking as they reshaped.

I opened the large doors and me and Emmsi left the room and headed down the spiral staircase...
