We arrived at the medical bay with the cannister that could bring the captain back from the dead. Emmsi had it in her hands.
She didn't really know what to do with it. Olivia was the only one who had used the contents before. We needed Olivia to make this work.
Ihoped it wasn't too late. I knew what was inside these cannisters. Professor Tilly had created them on Salt Station. He told me once that the contents could only revive people that had been dead for a short time. The captain had been dead for a while now.
This was cutting it close...

We rushed into the medical bay with the cannister. In all of the commotion the captain hadn't been moved, the cloth still covered his lifeless body.
"Pass me the cannister here," I said to Sleepy I, "although I'm not too sure what to do with it."
"Pour some of it onto his wounds," Olivia said, "hopefully it will help to bring him round."
"Ok," I said, "I hope this works".
I did as Olivia said and poured some of the liquid onto the captain's chest. Once I had poured it on I stepped back, waiting for some form of life from the captain.

We watched as the miracle took place - the wounds began to close... not heal, and they still left scars - but they did heal!
There were gasps from everyone in the room.
Within minutes his wounds were healed. However healing the wounds was not enough - the liquid had to bring him back to life! At the moments it did not seem to be working.
I racked my brian trying to think what I did for that little mouse... I had done everything the same as what we were doing now!
"More," I said finally, "we need to put more of the liquid on the captain!"
Emmsi poured mor eof the precious liquid onto the captain very carefully. This liquid would allow us to heal any wounds that anyone suffered on this journey - it would be a shame to waste it all.
We all stapped back and waited... waited for any sign of life. Any at all...

We had stepped back from the captain, watching and waiting for any sign of movement. I felt partly responsible for his death, if only I had had more medical experience then I might have been able to save him in the first place. I really hoped this would work.
"Come on, please wake up," I muttered under my breath..

A blinding flash of light followed a by a dull darkness and a terrible ringing in my ears. I was being dragged away - dragged away from that warm, happy place. I was being dragged into a dark and cold reality. Suddenly oxgen filled my lungs and I gapsed out in shock.
*GASP*
My eyes opene wide. My back back arched as blood began to pump through my veins once again! Suddenly I slumped back down on the bed.
I looked around me. I was in a room... it was familiar to me... was it the medical bay on the Kingston and I was surrounded by lots of people who's faces were also familiar to me. Was they my crew? My head was very mixed up nd confused. I felt like I had been sleeping for weeks and weeks.
"What... whats going on?" I managed to say through a very dry mouth, "where am... I?"

The captains body started to stare and he ast up with a shot. I moved towards him to comfort him as he seemed disorientated.
"Captain, please, take it easy, relax, you've had a very trying ordeal, try and calm down while we explain what has happened to you."

Captain? I thougt to myself as I heard the woman speak to me. Captain?
Memories that seemed ancient began to surface. I was once a captain wasn't I? Yes... I was the captain of the Kingston... that seemed like a lifetime ago to me now. I had died... I remember the feeling of death. I had clouded my mind. Then there had been the other place. The place after death.
How cold and lonely life now felt once again.
I looked to the people standing around me.
"How long?" I asked, "how long was I dead for?"

"You've only being gone for a couple of days captain," I said, "we used some special liquid that I found on Salt Station to bring you back to life!"
We waited to see what the captains responce to this news would be.

A couple of days? It seemed like longer then that - months... maybe years even!
I began to remember to place I had been after my death. I had received a warning. A terrible warning... but I could not remember what it was.
I rubbed my eyes and looked out of the small porthole in the wall next to me.
"Fog?" I asked. then it all came back to me. The warning I had recieved. "Beware the fog! Beware... Devil Island!"
I jumped from the bed and rushed towards the mian deck...
