We returned from the Kingston - a little confused and annoyed.

Out attack had failed! Somehow Captain Warner and his group of idiots had managed to defeat us! We were some of the best Pirates that ever sailed the sea yet we could not defeat a handful of English fools?
This made us angry!

Plus we had somehow lost our captain. No one had seen Kruger since he disapeared and went below decks in the Kingston. Was he dead? Captured?

I, myself was captured, but I managed to escape thanks to Jimmy O'Malley who was now with us.

As first mate I organised a meeting below our decks.

"Arr!" I shouted, "We 'ave failed! Now the cap'ain wanted us to find the Lost Map. I say we keep on looking fer it! Wot says yer lads?"

"Sod the map! And sod Kruger" I shouted from the back, "I say send off the cannons and blow the Kingston to high hades!"

A number of the men agreed with. My parrot, Squawk - who sat on my shoulder come rain or shine - also agreed with me. He always did!

"An if Kruger was stupid enough to get 'imself captured then that be his own blody fault! Arrr!"

"We will not let the captain die! And anymore talk like that from you Thung and I'll make yer walk the plank!"

I looked to the others.

"Anyone else?"

"im with you, the captain has led us through so much and he probably would leave us to die but i'm not goin to leave him!" i said as i stood up and walked over to Gregor. "whats the plan?!"

I walked up to Scrawny Jack. I looked him up and down. He was a tall, lanky lad with abutt ugly face. I hated the scumbag but for some reason he'd always seemed to like me.

"Well," I growled, "if our cap'ain has been captured then he'll be in their brig. Now I was in their briefly until O'Malley set me free.... I think I know the layout of their ship pretty well. The plan is this... one of us will disguise ourselves and head onboard their ship. In our disguise we'll break into the brig and realease our men!"

I looked at the men.

"Any volunteers for this dangerous but highly honourable mission?"

"Sod that!" I shouted. Gregoer was asking a lot from us if he thought that one of us would risk our lives for the captain.
"Kruger would just leave us to rott so why should we help 'im?"

My parrot agreed with me - "Squawk! Krugers a nod, Krugers a nob!"

The men around me laughed. Everyone knew that I was popular with the lads. I had my own group that followed me around everywhere. Kruger hated us. He claims its becuase we are lazy bums but secretly he fears that I will kill him and take his role as first mate.

"Why don't you send sissy Scrawny Jack? He'll do anything for you!" I mocked. My lads laughed with me.

I had growing concerns about Thung and his popularity amongst the lads. something would have to be done about him... but not yet. that would have to wait.

One thing that Thung was right about though...

"Scrawny Jack," I said, "You SHALL go! I want you to go onboard their ship, we'll dress you up as one of them, and you can pretend to be an engineer. There are lots of engineers on their ship that they don't know very well so just pretened that you've been there all along but have kept yourself quiet. When you think you've got the trust ni them... find a way to free the cpatain from the brig!"

He looked a little nervous but ready for the challenge.

"Get to it Pirate! We're all counting on you!"

as i headed off to the other ship i felt a mixture of nerves, excitment and sickness. i didnt know anything about these people! how the hell was i supposed to convince them i was with them. i felt sick, but then the thought of seeing the captain again i was full of courage

I led my lads and Jimmy O'Malley below decks. All of the other Pirate shad now left the darkness and were scattering about the ship.

I knew that they needed to know we had intruders onboard but right now I only cared about O'Malley.

"Why the hell did you 'elp us O'Malley," I scowled, "aint you friends with Gregor? Well we aint! We can't stand 'im!"

I waited for a responce...

"I have no allegiences with Gregor," I said quickly, "I only helped him so I could get onboard this ship."

I stared at Thung and his men.

"The truth is," continued, "that I'd rather be friends with you then Gregor. Will you help me? Keep me safe until we reach port?"
