(continued from Corridor A)

Brian and I entered the room and laid the badly brutn doctor down on a medical bed.
We didn't have time to loook about the room when we entered which was probably a good thing...

I looked to Brian.

"Now what do we do?" I asked. Afterall, he was the scientist here!

Brian had no idear, but then he remembered that his mother held his finger under icecold water when he burned it.

"We can wrap sterile bandages around the badly burned Area's" Brian said

"And we need to find a way to keep it cold" He said when he continued.

"Alright!" I said quickly. I then looked around for a cold water supply as Brian wrapped the doctors burns in bandages.

The sight I saw chilled my bones. Blood covered everything... the bodies of people who had died on the operating table were left to rott... the stench was unbelieveable!

I hoped that Brian would not see what I had just seen. I looekd aronud and saw a large sheet which was rough and dirty. It smelt. I threw the large sheet I had found over the bodies, hiding them from view.

I found a small trough with water n it. The water wan't clean but at least it was cold. I pushed the trough over to Brian.

"Cold water!" I said. The doctor began to stirr as we began to wash his wounds...

We where finished, we threated Dr. B as best as we could.

"When we get out of here alive, I will be Dr. B's pupil, because when something was to happen with the Doc, the Kingston crew would be without proper medical care, I mean I am a Scientist I didn't have any medical training !" Brian told Boulder.

"That sounds like a good idea!" I said to Brian, "we could do with another medic onboard!"

My spirits had been down after we had met that shadow and it had injured the doctor. I was beginning to think that none of us would make it out of here alive. However, hearing Brian say 'when we get out of here' and not 'if we get out of here', made my determination to survive rise up again!

I moved the trough of water back acorss the room again, thinking that it was about time we got moving, when I looked back at the sheet I had put over the dead bodies.
There was somethni about that old, crinkled, smelly sheet that wasn't normal. I moved over to it and took a closer look. Then the horrid truth dawned on me!

It wasn't a sheet after all!

It was human skin!

It had been peeled from someones body, stretched and dried out, making it look like a sheet! I spotted a tattoo on the left hand side of a rose with a quill beside it. I also saw a large birthmark that looked like an anchor. I was sick!

I hoped Brian would not realsie what it was. I turned to him and saw him staring at it. I let out a sigh. He had realised what it was...

Brian thought about the shadow he had seen, he never before had seen such evil, he never even imagined such pure evil and hate existed in this world.

Brian knew people thought he was niave and he probably was but something changed when he saw that shadow.

He walked to Boulder and looked at the sheet Boulder looked so horrified at.

He touched the sheet and took a few steppes back, his eyes filled with tears when he realised that the sheet actually was, human skin.

Oh my GOD, Oh my GOD !!! Brian thought, he wanted to fall on the floor and cry, but he didnt, he didn't want to be the weak one, not this time, this time he wanted to be usefull.

Brian prayed shortly for their soul's.

Then looked at Boulder, "Ready to go ?" He asked

"Mr. Boulder, Dr. B is awake" Brian said as he walked to Dr. B.

"Don't get up yet Doc, your not well enough, I think" Brian said.

Brian placed his hand on the doc's head to see if he had a temperature.

"My god!" I cried, as Dr B began to rant, "the doctors gone crazy!"

Dr B kept repeating 'the hatch, the htach' over and over again. I looked at Brian who looked back at me. We were both very confused.
What was this hatch he kept going on about?

"Doctor," I said, "please try and remain calm! If you could explain to us what is wrong... maybe we can help?"

I wished that Luni was here right now. She'd probably know how to handle a ranting person!

"How's his temperature Brian?" I asked.

"Way to high, he has a fever for sure, maybe we should threat his wounds again ?"
Brian asked.
