I entered the observation lounge, still running to get away from those nasty ghosts! I was out of breath - a man such as myself, with all my wealth, shouldn't have to run! Ever!
I looked back to see Pipey McGraw enter, followed by the captain. They had blood on their clothes. They must have had to fight their way here! They closed the hatch and locked it.
Hopefully nothing would follow us through. We all stood and watched - waiting. But nothing came through. We were safe. For now.
"Well I hope you're happy with yourself Captain," I said, "you could have got us killed! I ought to stop funding thie journey right now and order we return to port! this is simply not acceptable! What do you have to say for yourself?"

I did not even hear Mr Canders words as I looked around the room in awe!
The room was giant glass sphere that was underneath the station. We could see for miles and miles underneath the water! All that surrouded us was the blue of the ocean!
I walked over to the glass wall and stared out with my mouth open wide. The last time I had come to Salt Station I had not seen this! A swarm of fish swam by me and somewhere in the distance I swore I saw some sort of eel travelling along. If I strained my eyes long enough I could just make out the ocean floor which was littered with rocks and coral.
This was one of the most amazing things I had ever seen and it made me think of the submarine, the Black Abyss, that we had back on the ship and how Iwould love to take it out some time!
I turned back to the others who were now beginning to see the beauty of this place. I looked up to check that nothing was comming through the hatch when I noticed three more hatches. On closer inspection I saw they had signs on them saying Corridor A, Corridor B and Corridor C.
This was good news. It meant that each of the corridors that the rest of my crew were in had access to the observation lounge! All they had to do was find the hatches!

I looked around the observation lounge and had to admit that I was very impressed!
I was fascinated by the view - the underwater view!
However as I stared closer I heard a fiant cracking sound. I looked to the glass and found a slight crack! It was too small to let any water through but it was slowly growing! The station was falling apart around us!
"I...er... don't think we should linger here too long captain," I said, pointing at the crack.

I looked at the crack in the glass. Although it would take a while for the crack to cause any serious damage I knew that Mr Cander was right - we couldn't affor to stay too long. I wondered just how much else of the station was faling apart.
"We have to come up with a plan, the three of us together," I said to Mr Cander and Pipey. I was worried about Pipey. He had been ever more distant since we arrived here.
"We have a number of options," I continued, "we could try and fight our way back in the control room and attempt to open the main door. However with Arvins men AND the ghosts that seems impossible. We could wait here and see if any of the rest of our crew find their way down here. Or we could take one of those hatches and go and find them."
I looked at Pipey and Cander. I wondered what they wanted to do. As they thought about their options I noticed a small budle of balnkets at one side of the room...

(continued from Corridor C)
"Captain Warner!" I called out as we climbed down the ladder from the hatch from corridor C.
We reached the bottom and wer egreeted by the captain, Mr Cander and Pipey. They shook our hands.
"It's good to see you all," I said, "I am glad you are still in one piece. We have seen some strange things captain!"

"Phoenix!" I shouted as I shook his hand. "Mr I, Mr Chunk!" It's good to see you all!"
I then saw that Peg-Leg Lance was injured.
"How bad is he?" I asked them all. "We too have seen some strange things. It was a mistake coming here. We should try to get away as quick as possible!"
I looked over to the bundle of blankets again. There was something not right about them...

"He'll live," Isaid in responce to the captain question about Lance. I noticed the captains gaze towards the bundle of blankets and became curious myself.
The captain told us what had ahppened in the control centre and I told him what had happened to the watch tower. George Cander then told us that the glass in the observation lounge was cracking - meaning we would have to get out of here before the water rushed in!
I looked around the room. Other then the pile of blankets, the only thing in the room was an old cabinet.
I turned to Sleepy I.
"Sleepy, why don't you check out that old cabinet - see if there is anything of use inside. The captain and I will check out those blankets."

As Sleepy walked towards the old cabinet, Phoenix and myself headed towards the pile of blankets.
There something about these blankets that wasn;t quite right... there was an odd smell coming from them.
As we got closer to them I reaslise what the smell was. It was a smell I had smelt too many times before - the stench of death! I was a little reluctant to move the blankets for what we would find underneath.
Still, I picked up a blanket and found exactly what I thought I would. It was the body of a man. His skin had rotten away so we could not tell what he looked like but he had obviosuly been there for some time!
I covered my mouth from the smell. Phoenix had seen bodies like this many times before. He leant over and began to rummage through the dead mans jacket.

We looked back to see sleepy I on the floor. The cabinet had exploded! A strange green mist was seaping out from where the half-destroyed cabinet stood!
"Keep checking the body," I said the Phoenix and then walked over to the cabinet. I checked if Sleepy was alright. He was, just a little shaken.
Damanged contents from the cabinet scattered the floor. There were all sorts of strange objects like crystal balls and books containing spells. It was most unusual. I then noticed a scrap of paper with a protection spell. I read it. It seemed that whoever the items in this cabinet belonged to - that person had put a protection spell on the observation lounge, stopping the ghosts from entering!
