Jolene, one of my college friends recently moved to Glenwood Springs and started a new engineering job. God is already starting to use her in some tremendous ways. Here is an email that I received from her today requesting prayer, since she's already immersed in a tremendous spiritual battle.

"I'm writing to request some reinforcements on the spiritual fronts. God is beginning to stir up things here in the Glenwood Springs area, and the prince of this world is starting to take notice. Several people in the church I am attending (called Summit Bound Church) have fallen very sick, others are having trouble in their families and raising their children, and others are losing sleep from either busy-ness or just the inability to sleep at night. I'm one of the people who can't sleep more than 4 hours in a night...

Anyway, I've been noticing more and more things that go 'bump' in the night for the last week and a half. Last night especially, there was a presence in my apartment that just gave me the chills! Thankfully I always have my anointing oil close to my bed! smile.gif But it still took several hours to feel at peace and able to sleep-- even with worship music and repeating God's Word to myself.

All this to say: I think something BIG is coming to Glenwood Springs! A force of the heavenlies is building up to break through the strongholds of this valley-- and the darkness is beginning to catch a glimpse of that light... So please pray with us! Pray for divine protection and peace for those involved in this spiritual battle (physically, emotionally, and spiritually), for their whole households. Pray for the lost souls that are going to be fought for this next year! Pray for fertile soil and many seeds to fall. I am praying Isaiah 43:1-11; 61:1-4; Joshua 1:2-9; Matthew 13:3-9; and 18:18-20."
