perfect imperfection

My English 111 class is driving me insane! I have never despised a class or teacher as much as I despise this one. Professor Alphin is great when it comes to discussions, but when she's explaining herself... prepare for mass confusion. It takes her twenty minutes to explain something... but she's so confusing and so repetitive that it makes you feel like an idiot because, by the end of it, you still won't understand.
Oh-- and you wanna know something else? She doesn't like my essay. Wanna know why? Apparently, she thinks my sentences are too complex and my vocabulary out of my league for my age. She would rather I write short, simple sentences with average vocabulary. Um... last time I checked, I was in college and NOT middle school.
As if it's not bad enough that we basically have to write an essay on, essentially, being white/black but now she's limiting how complex our sentence structures can be and the vocabulary we decide to use. Banking concept, much?
And some of the people in the class can be extremely irritating. There was this one girl today who bashed the entire teacher population at Godwin. Yeah, some teachers are horrible, but to classify them all into one category when the material we were reading does that more than enough... I swear it was like World War III or something in the classroom. What kind of a discussion is it if the teacher lets two people dominate the entire conversation and everyone else with an opinion can't get a word in edgewise?
For the first time in class, I actually had something to say, but did I get a chance to say it? No. Because the teacher allowed two or three people to rule over the "discussion" the entire class period.
Arggg... I'm so damn frustrated right now. I really wish I had dropped that class now. The class is incredibly stupid. Heck, this SCHOOL is stupid.
Might as well finish this semester and transfer myself to VCU, directly into their medical program. Beats hanging around J Sarge and feel my brain cells slowly decrease everyday.
