Rules? Do we honestly need them? Why bother posting something that no one's going to read anyway?
Here's the answer to these wonderful awful questions...
and yes that is an oxymoron.
Rules? Do we need them? Yes! Yes! And a million times again, YES!!! Rules make life easier because they define the boundries of what is right and what is wrong.
Why do I bother posting someone that's no one's going to read anyway? YOU BETTER READ THEM!!! Okay, okay, so maybe you still won't even if I threaten to take your life away...but please save me the trouble of hunting you down because you didn't read my rules. Besides if you do read them I'll give you brownie points later. ^^
~~~I'm going to try not to bog you down with too many so bear with me~~~
Rule One: Have fun: the whole purpose of me creating a site where you can meet people and create new friendships with others is to allow you to have fun. And honestly if you aren't having fun I'm not doing a good job...
Rule Two: Use common sense: This rule will save you from having to read a bunch of pointless rules that go without say and save me from having to type them and bore you in the process. What's common sense? Your mom or dad should have taught you that long ago.
Rule Three: No Pornagraphy: Don't post it, don't write about it, and don't post links that lead to it. There may be viewers younger than 18 years old on this site and the rules of all pro-board sites state that pornography is not allowed. Don't let the police take me into custody for something I let you post up on my site. Please don't.
Rule Four: Refrain from Spamming: My definition of spam is a four word or less sentance that has nothing to do with the topic your posting in. Trust me...More posts does not improve your total of brownie points only your rank. Don't be a post whore who has nothing to say.
Rule Five: When posting a piece of artwork or literature please rate it for content: I may have said no pornography allowed but I didn't say that you couldn't write about violence and junk. Keep in mind that we may have younger audiences about and they need to know what their risking before they start reading a post.
Rule Six: Don't double post: Or at least wait ten to fifteen minutes before responding right after yourself. Give others a chance to get in on the posting action. Some people like myself goes into a forum and tries to read every post, but by time I've gotten to the last one I've discovered that ~he who shall not be named~ has just posted ten more times and now I have to read all of that.
Rule Seven: Do you remember that saying your mom and dad taught you long ago...? "If you can't say something nice, you shouldn't say anything at all." Same deal here, and I'm sure many members would also appreciate it if you didn't harass them with words they're better off not reading just to get their feelings hurt. We all know that there are jerks out there who would do those things, but lets all try to be friends here. Okay. If you don't like someone just don't respond to them. I don't want to ban anyone for harassing another member.
Rule Eight: Have fun: Didn't I say I'd try to keep it short and sweet. This rule appears twice because I feel it is the single and most important rule there is. If you aren't having fun I didn't do my job. Anyway go to this page and recieve brownie points http://www.quizilla.com/score/display.php?item_id=5465928
